^ My precious ducklings, Quackerz and Cilantro (aptly named for his/her love of fresh cilantro, haha)


^ My GSD, Brutus, is quite sweet with the chicks. He has a particular interest in the little black bantam.




They love to explore! Excuse the messy set up, we aren't quite done with the pen.


Barred rocks are my favorite breed as a whole. They seem much friendlier and calmer than my golden sex links.

Aww, Ace and Gary are adorable! I wish my two would let me hold them. They peep bloody murder if I touch them, haha. My barred rocks are quite nice and will come up to have their chests and chins rubbed. I hope my sex links come around!

I forced my love on them, haha. I put on a big fuzzy robe and wrapped them up in it with me when I first got them- now they love me. They'll even hop into my guests laps when I have people over

My RSL are rescues from a factory egg farm- no idea why they're so friendly but they are absolute sweet hearts. My BSL are skitzy and afraid of everyone. My BR is the same. Boooo "Let me love you!!!!!!!!!!!"

I might have to try that! making them chill out on my lap and feed them some good treats (they're really into mealworms, romaine lettuce and of course cilantro) and hope the flooding style exposure breaks their hatred for being touched, lol! I would love for them to even tolerate handling. If they get seriously stressed I won't continue, though. I don't want to make them upset.

Hahaha! Mine never seemed too stressed, a little annoyed but they settled down pretty quick. I bet the treats will be a big help! I just got some magpie ducklings today and that's how I am with them hahaha. LOVE MEEEEE!!!!!

I held one of my ducklings today and was surprised to see how well it settled down! I'm going to try to hold them at least a few times a day and hope it settles them Congrats on your new babies!
