OK, so I got a new incubator, nothing fancy, but better than I had. I'm gonna try this again. I have a few questions before getting started. I've probably asked before, or read it, but I want to be sure.

1) Egg storage for incubation, little end up or down?
2) Humidity, start? middle? end?
3) Temperature, start? middle? end?
4) Turning, how many times a day? should I alternate direction each day?
5) Weight, what's the total loss?
6) Air Sac, too small-more or less humidity?
7) Chicks, do I take them out as they hatch, or leave them in there?

Thank You Everyone, I really appreciate the help and patience. I don't mean to sound dumb or anything, but, this is like my 7th-8th try, give or take, and I refuse to give up until I have a hatch. I'm gonna do a dry run, (no eggs), for a few days to make sure the new incubator works properly, and I wanted all the right info before starting. Again, THANKS !!!!!:bow:hugs

1) fat end up little end down
2) humidity 40-50% then raised to 65-75% for lockdown
3) temperature between 99 and 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
4) turn three times a day
5) Eggs should lose 11-13 percent
of initial weight during the first 18 days of incubation.
6) if the air sack is too small then less humidity.
7) I leave all in for 24 hours after the first one hatches. Sometimes a bit longer if any eggs haven’t hatched.

Looks like a perfect outline to start a notes document.
Paste that into a word processing document and start searching and taking notes and saving links.

That's a lot to ask in one thread...none are pat answers.
Except.... eggs stored fat end up...50-60°F....prop up opposite end of carton once a day.

First thing to do is test your thermometers and hygrometers:
