I built the A- Frame coop from plans and plan on moving my girls in soon.
I have been putting the girls inside the lower run area when it is nice out.
My questions are:
Have any of you used wire on the top so you can put the side panels down and protect the girls during the day? I am considering building additional side panels. We have a few stray cats in the neighborhood and I want to keep my girls safe.
Have any of you added wheels? - the sucker is heavy. can move it with help but I have to take all the doors off - when I move the girls in - I won't be able to do that.
What do you wish was different?
Have any of you considered building this design but larger?
I am about to increase my flock from 2 to 6 and want to keep 3 birds per coop and I was going to build another - This one only cost me 102.00 in materials wood. I see many have spent much more. I was pretty satisfied with the first coop and feel confident I can build another.
