I just met with steelshot ( Tony ) yesterday. He brought me some very nice Marans. This is what I got 1 BCM, 5 Blue Marans, 3 Blue, Black Marans and 3 Birchen Marans. They are very healthy and eating and drinking well. I already had 6 BCM's I hatched myself along with some other chicks. I have 10 Burbon Red Turkey's that are suppose to hatch tonight I hope. They were doing well on Friday when I did the last candeling.
Tony also brought me 1 dozen BCM eggs and 1 dozen Birchen Maran eggs. They go in the Incubators to night. I am hopeing that since they were not mailed they will be a great hatching percentage with them. I am going to have to thin out the flock because I had a bunch of males from the last hatch. They are now a month old and I am thinking of culling about half the males. All the females are quite nice and I think I will keep them all. I now have Delaware, Black Jersey Giants, RIR's, BCM and Black Jersey Giant X Naked Nacks. The Naked Neck Mix is huge but man they look like a baby buzzard. I have three males and 1 female. I also have 3 bantams Creloe I think. 1 bantam has feathered feet.
I will try to get up pictures this coming week but not really sure as we are planning a wedding for our son and it is in June. I really want to know what you think of the Bantams and what they are and what the one with feathers on his feet is. All the Bantams are males. I also want to get your opinion about the Naked Neck mix. Thanks to all especially Tony in Jamesville.
