Any experience with these problems? I have ten silkies in the brooder and two have these problems:

One silkie arrived with a what appears to be a leg injury. It hops around on one foot and keeps it hiked up all the time. The few times I've seen him attempt to bear weight on it he stumbles. Any chance this will clear up; been two weeks!

Another silkie has a crooked beak... the top portion of his beak is perfectly straight and the bottom portion goes off to the side. Is this an injury or genetic?

No, sorry, I haven't had these problems, but 2 with problems out of only 10 I would think is cause to go back to where you got your chicks, like hatchery, breeder, feed store, wherever, and report the problems. I think the beak is a genetic problem while the other is most likely a shipping injury. It might get better, have you checked it for a broken leg? If it is broken, you should be able to put a splint on it and since it is so young it just might heal.
