Hi, there was a wild ringneck pheasant on our property for a few weeks. Today, I see feathers that resemble a ringneck pheasants. All there was were feathers. I am thinking a hawk came and got it. I am worried about my chickens. I have seen a few hawks around. Is it a hawk?

Honestly, it is hard to say. It could be one of many different predators that got the pheasant and yes, I'd be on the look out. Make sure your birds are locked in tight at night and have a good and secure, covered run during the day.

Those 2 things are your best assurance that your chickens will stay safe.

we have hawks and they are off the kill list I dont like jail so I buy me some larger bottle rockets and if I see him I pop a few off scares them off and Ive noticed them not around as much also gives me a reason to be 33 and poppin off bottle rockets!!!!!!
