Hi everyone, I have a chicken that I rescued and I was wondering what she was. She is the size of a Jersey Giant, white, has a white, fluffy beard, and orange legs any ideas? I'll post a picture as soon as possible. Thank you for the replies it's been eating at me for about a week now, I'm always a very curious person. I'm dying to find out!

She's called Pepper, she's standing next to my Jersey Giant. They're pullets but they're the same age. Pepper is on the right.

She could be just a big girl. Or your Jersey Giant is smaller than average.

Also, she isn't an Araucana. She is an Easter Egger. An Araucana is a recognized breed, which is tufted and rumpless. Beards are definitely not part of the breed standard.

Pepper is an easter egger and honestly does not look that big. Are you sure the other bird is a jersey giant? I thought they had willow green legs?

Ee's typically have green or slate legs, but Pepper could be an EE cross since she has the beard. In regards to the size issue, could be that since the JG's are a slower maturing breed and the EE is a quicker maturing breed the EE just appears to be bigger at this moment in time, but the JG will catch up and surpass her in size.

Ahhh, well I know the other one is a Jersey Giant. As I said they're still both young. Oh, I ordered some aracaunas from Mcmurray hatcheries and they had beards. Thanks everyone for the help!
