I have a baby chick that I got from a science project the kids were doing at my work. I brought him (or her) home because it needed a little extra, for the first day or so I gave it sugar water with electrolytes, it now will drink on its own and eat, but the strangest thing is, it can only do these things if I give it support. It will stand up right, then its as if it forgets to balance and just falls over sideways. It will the work to try to get back up on its feet, and if touched or messed with by its companion, it will scramble in the bedding to get up and then run to the other side of the brooder. It stands well if its in a corner. Any ideas?

I am trying the poly-vi-sol, egg yolks, a little yogurt and also put the drawer liner in the brooder. With the liner it has an easier time getting up and keeping its footing. We'll see how the other things work.
