No not new to many birds such as pheasants, quail, pigeons, etc

Zero

None
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Beauty, activity is entertaining, insect control.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Almost too many to mention, but the short list includes: Stamp collecting, bicycling, motorcycling, restoring old motorcycles and cars, photography, I play and perform guitar, dobro and vocal, I shoot competitive archery, firearms instructor, Hunter's Education Certification Instructor, Radio control model airplanes, coin collection, yaddy, yaddy

Father to 6, Grandfather to 15, Great-Grandfather to 10, Married 59 years to a wonderful woman, Doctorate level education in Digital Telecommunications, retired for 17 years, enjoy filling my freezer with game harvested with my longbow, a better than average atheist for much of my early years but miraculously whacked upside the head by a loving Heavenly Father and came to my senses about 40 years ago and am incredibly blessed for having done so, and on an on and....

Don't remember how I wound up here, but I'm getting some chickens and decided to take advantage of the enormous wisdom I trust is resident here.
