(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yup - about 3 weeks ago..

4
(3) What breeds do you have?
Tatty old rehomed ex batt's
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The characters developing from chucks that have had little human contact, listening to their idle chatter and essentially becoming the Pied Piper in 3 weeks. Oh yeah and a free eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married, kids all left home now.. 1x retired guide dog (retriever/GSD cross), 1x basset hound, 2x guinea pigs, Principal Engineer in Intelligent Transport Systems, Volunteer Blood Biker, my wife would say too many motorcycles, I'd say not enough...
I now have a lot more Raspberry Pi's than bikes, and trying to understand python...
Stumbled on BYC, as I'm investigating code to automate coop doors with Raspberry Pi - and there's a good few sources of info and experiences on here, not to mention a wealth of Chuck ownership experience!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
