A New babies

A week ago we bought 6 hens of various breeds and 1 roo. Today we bought 4 bo's, and 2 RIR's. They are in the coop, but in a large rabbit cage. Are they ok?

How old are they?

They are one week, and the hens can't ge to them. But one does roost on top of the cage. And lo and behold she is bo too!

is there a heating lamp out there keeping them warm? Chicks at a week old need to be kept warm with a heating lamp if they are not with momma hen. Most people have lil or big brooders set up for chicks that need to be kept warm. They need heat till they are pretty well feathered.

where we are it's abut 108 during the day and 80 at night, but they re in a shed - so it's warmer than outside. I am gonna go check on them now.
