A Newbie wonders why!

My Buff Orpington started laying last week. I took the suggestion to put fake eggs in nesting boxes - it worked.
The rest of the girls are not laying yet, so I moved the fake eggs into the other nest boxes that she doesn’t like to use.
Seems every day, even though she’s not using those boxes, she makes it her business to throw the fake eggs out onto the sand in the coop. !! ! ?????
Should I be preparing for a Real Broody Broody

Not an indication of impending broodiness that I am aware of. Perhaps the other pullets are checking out the nests and inadvertently kicking out the eggs.

Just keep one fake in each nest.
Might need higher lips(4-6") on the front of your nests.
But new layers are rowdy messing in the nests at first.
