A chicken eats a lot of things,
to grow good feathers, nice strong wings,
Grain and corn and scraps and more,
Grit, oyster and bugs galore.

She wanders through a garden green,
eats the tiny plants she's seen,
then locked out, she goes around,
scratching and pecking on the ground.
