From your experience, do Dominiques or Barred Rocks make a better meat bird?

Strain is more important than breed. It's going to take well bred birds from either to make a good meat bird.

I would give the edge to Barred Rocks; only because they are a little heavier bird and will give you a little more meat than Dominiques.

Rocks are usually a bit heavier. Although with hatchery stock, sometimes the only real difference is the comb style.
