A silly surprise

Not really much to say about this, except for the fact that it happened. Went out for breakfast with my dad and grandpa for Father’s Day, and when I came home to release the chickens, I found this.

Rolo, the hen getting squished, is usually quite mean to my other chickens. It’s a wonder that Spud is still alive in there. Guess neither of them won the nesting box feud… or both of them did. Not really sure

Fun picture! It's not unusual to find hens wanting to share the same box. I'm only surprised that all 4 of them weren't trying to squeeze into the same one.

It’s not the first time my girls have shared a box, but it is the first time that I’ve found them sharing a box with such a cutthroat hen haha. This is also the first time I’ve come home to find such a predicament. Usually, I see them hop into the nesting boxes on top of the other hens and I remove them. I’ve decided that those two can figure it out lol
