A strange hole in a peachick

Today, when putting the patch on the crooked fingers of the month-old peachick, I noticed that it had a ball of feces, so I tried to gently remove it. It turned out that there is an anal opening under it, but this one is higher up. I didn't damage his skin in any way, no wound. After some time, this place turned yellow, like thin feces. What could it be?

That is the navel. Sometimes the cord will not dry and break off during the hatching process and will pull a bit of the innards out resulting in a dried ball that hangs on the outside of the body. Never pull or cut this off as it will heal by itself in time.

Also called 'rough navel'. When we pull the chicks from the hatcher we inspect for it and apply triple ointment to the area.

Apply triple ointment and leave it alone or risk creating a greater issue.
