No I haven't, but it's is very simple thing to do, and it will not disturb the chickens, so no reason no to do it.Very interesting! Have you tried it? And here, lice stay on the birds, however some mites do spend time off the birds. The last pictures did look like mites to me, maybe more helpful with that mite species.
I may try it myself, and wonder if my birds will peck and play with these cardboard traps.

Do you remember maybe a couple of years back someone posted a picture on BYC of using cardboard wrapped around her roost and a picture of the mites on it when she took it off? I can see the picture in my mind and have been trying to find it. I know it's on BYC somewhere.Yes, probably roost mites.... not lice.
