What color should the chick be?

I have one white Americauna that lays green eggs. I purposely did not set any of her eggs because I just wanted just Production Reds. Babies hatched yesterday and I have a chick that looks like this

Am I missing something?

Can my hen lay brown AND green eggs?

A green layer doesn't lay brown eggs sometimes. It's not possible. What other hens do you have? Oh, and the chipmunk markings don't mean it's an EE. Lots and lots of breeds and mixes can have wildtype markings.

If she lays green eggs she can and will only lay green for the rest of her life. If you did not set any green eggs in your incubator then you have none of her babies. You will need to start looking at other options; what other females do you have in the pen? Are there any males that can fly over and get in the pen? And as the above poster stated, there are a lot of breeds that can start out with those color markings.

If you did happen to set some of her eggs;

If she is a true Ameraucana and you mixed her with a PR rooster, the babies will be Easter Eggers.

It sounds like she herself is an Easter Egger, in which case the babies will still turn out to be Easter Eggers.

I knew that it wasn't possible for her to lay brown eggs every now and then and then go back to green. So now that that's settled, let's move on...

I also have 4 White rocks and the rest are all production reds (definitely only 1 rooster and he is a production red). I hatched 16 babies all from brown eggs, hoping that when I set them they would be eggs from my PR and not my white rocks. 2 of the babies are black with yellow markings, only 1 looks like the pic that I previously posted, and the other 13 look like normal production red chicks. So the 3 odd balls should all be from my white rocks right?

Thanks for the help!

OK, this is a guess...

At least one of your production reds has some brown Leghorn in her background and that's how you have a chipmunk.

The black & yellow chicks are from your Rocks. Are they marked like barred Rock chicks?

That is the white coming out from your red sexlink. Will most likely be white with red/black.

Umm... nope!! This is what he looks like so far!
