Hi, we are doing a sand substrate for our run, and we ended up getting A3 sand delivered, which looks a little bit more fine than we expected. Is this sand going to be a good option for our run, or should we overlay it with something coarser with a larger particles? I've heard concerns of finer sand being a risk for impaction, should we be worried about that?

I'm not familiar with this sand. I did a little searching and it reminds me of fine beach sand. Hopefully others who may know more will chime in. I have no substrate in my setup, but didn't want you to think you're being ignored!

Do you have ducks or chickens?
What have you used previously...since 2015??

Not a fan of sand as bedding,
might work in AZ but not so much in MI.
