a couple weeks ago we found 5 little ducklings all alone. no nest, no mama, and no other ducks nearby at all. we took them home and we are now caring for them, although they aren’t commonly domesticated. we’ve let them swim around and meet our other ducks and its gone well. im just anxious that we’re not doing something we’re supposed to, they have their own pen and baby food along with a bin on its side in their pen so they can nest behind it.
heres a few photos of one

Hi there! Black Bellied Whistling Ducks are a protected species. Please call your nearest wildlife rehab!
When calling the rehab, make sure to include when and where you found them, the condition you found them in, and if there is any abnormalities in the ducklings such as injuries or odd behavior

They are adorable. State to state laws vary.
In some places they are considered an invasive species.
Here is some info concerning "wandering whistling ducks" I do not know if they are related.
