Yea that very true I've had my pekins do that before but i got he eggs before they hatched and was able to slip them under her when they hatched outSometimes the eggs under a broody hen have slightly staggard hatch dates and the hen will leave eggs behind that would otherwise have hatched so she can go care for the chick that did hatch. Ever broody is different but they will only wait so long for the others to hatch. I always have an incubator on standby now just in case but some are just better and being moms than others.
