abandoned eggs

Goldie sat for over two weeks on a clutch of 5 eggs, then left them and moved to a new nest. I haven't looked to see what is under her now. What gives?

I've had a broody get mixed up and get on the wrong nest; I just moved her back to the other one. How long has she been off the clutch she was originally on?

The eggs were cool, so I gathered them. I don't really need more chickens, but would like the experience of hatching some chicks! These nests are right next to each other, and another hen had been on the one she moved to. Strange, these birds, but so much fun! I love my fresh eggs!
