RIR,
R.I. Red.
Reds

All are abbreviations for Rhode Island Red

I am not a big fan of abbreviations there is to many abbreviations that over lap each other.

Example -
• (BA) Could mean Black Australorp, Black Anconas or Black Andalusians
• (BR) Could mean Barred Rock or Bourbon Red (as in Bourbon Red turkey)
• (BLW) could mean Blue Laced Wyandotte (as in Blue Laced Red) or Black Laced Wyandotte (as in Black Laced Red)
As you can see it can get real confusing.

I like some of the other site I am on where it states right in there rules and in bold No Abbreviations ...

Hi! Abbreviations can be confusing. It lessens the confusion if when someone uses an abbreviation, they at least 'type out' what they are abbreviating once.
Example: I like Naked Necks. I have NN Frizzles, NN Green-Eggers, and NNFGE.
