Could you give more details about the infected foot and post a picture? Does your chicken have bumblefoot symptoms (swelling, redness, and a dark spot on the foot pad, or swelling between the toes on top of the foot?) If it is bumblefoot, surgery to get out the pus or kernel may be needed.

It's not nearly that bad. It is only slightly swollen compared to that. Also, we are calling a vet right now.

I edited my post with a second picture. It is best to lance and drain an abscess, Bumblefoot is a staph infection usually caused by a tiny cut on the bottom of the foot where staphylococcus bacteria enter the wound. Here is a good link with video of the surgery:
