Abnormal day,anybody???

Has anyone ever had a quail come out later then day 18 of incubation?

If so,what was for example day 23

I just want to get an idea of how long I should give all the eggs a chance.

When I started incubating I gave all eggs 3 days extra ( I give some hatchers that chance when I get power outages here in the boondocks). 3 days extra is my tops because late hatchers tend to have problems due to being in the egg longer. a few days extra doesn't hurt them but when it gets to 23-24 days I pull the plug. In nature mama would sit that long.

Thanks for the tip Quail Lady... so if the eggs are not meant to be, the hen will eventually get up and move on?

OR THEY WILL CAVE IN UNDER HER WEIGHT

ACTUALLY IN NATURE THEY SEEM TO HAVE AN UNCANNY SENSE OF SMELL AND WILL ROLL BAD EGGS OUT OF THE NEST​
