About a month ago I went to rob some interior parts off my parts car on the back side of the field. Purely luck I look down and low and behold 9 eggs in the floorboard. Candled, 7 of 9 looked good and I had been fighting a broody hen over eggs for a couple days so in chicken jail she went with them.
I suspected they were from one of my Liege hens that should be about laying age. 21 days later LIEGE CHICKS WOOHOO. 2 black with yellow eyebrows, 2 blue without eyebrows and a SPLASH. That was my surprise because I have a blue cockerel but I wasn't sure if I could get a splash from my hens because they don't really look blue to me. I thought I was going to need to hatch a bunch of blue's to cross and hopefully get a splash eventually.
