It is said that we can keep egg upto 14 days before hetching in room temprature. I also heard that we can keep egg in fridge upto 15 days and then we can hatch eggs.
My question is ... can i keep egg in room tamprature for 14 days then keep it in fridge for 15 days? ie all togather 29 days. Will i be successfull to hetch eggs?

Thnx

No. Egg fertility declines after ten days, no matter what you do.

The fridge is actually too cool, and it dehydrates them. I've hatched eggs out of the fridge, but they were in there for less than five days and you won't get a good hatch rate doing it.

I agree. I personally never keep eggs longer than a week but I have always had the best fertility with three days at most. Never wash your eggs or put them in the fridge if you intend on hatching them. If there is any fecal matter stuck to your eggs, gently push it off. Washing takes off a protective outside layer and refrigerating is too cold for the embryo.

Think how long it takes a hen to build a clutch before she goes broody. Generally longer than 10 days. Shipped eggs are a crap shoot regardless of their age. I have routinely kept MY OWN eggs far longer than 10 days at moderate temperatures and humidity turning eggs multiple times daily and had high percentage hatchability. 29 days is excessive, and the refrigerator is detrimental to viability.

If you're keeping the eggs longer than a few days, keep them upside down, inside an egg carton adjusting the angle of the egg carton (maybe propping one side up with a box) and switching sides.

This is factual. Held eggs should be turned several times daily.
