I grew up with Barred Plymouth Chickens. Ducks, Horses, Cats, Dogs. I had a pet raccoon at one point growing up.
I Love all Animals.
I raised 13 Barr Plymouth Rock hens since they were 3 days old. It turned out not one of them were Roosters. A friend gave me 2 Japenese Samoan full grown Roosters. This type of Roosters are raised to fight, but I am told that these 2 were saved from this awful sport. I am told they never fought at all. They chase my hens around and they are terrified. Last night one hen did not show up at my hen house. I looked around everywhere with a flashlight for over an hour, with no luck in finding her. She did not turn up this morning. I did not see any feathers anywhere.,
I wanted to see if anyone knows, will this type of Rooster hurt my hens?

Hi Kathryn, I hope your hen shows up. If your flock was free ranging, any number of predators could have found her.

Welcome ! to BYC ! I would think those two rooster would rather breed than fight . If they would fight it would be with the other unless one is deranged .
