I have two Auarcana's I just recently got and they are suppose to lay a greenish color egg but today I got the first one and it was brown and had white specks. I'm just curious if this can happen sometimes or if I don't actually have Auarcana's? And also the person I got them from said that she had just wormed them and said to throw out all the eggs that I get from them for two weeks. Is it ok to eat them with out causing any harm to us or actually throw them out?

Our americauna was supposed to lay green eggs but ended up laying brownish eggs. some of them just don't lay green eggs. Yes I would wait two weeks before eating the eggs.

You both have Easter Eggers. They can lay blue, green, brown or even pinkish eggs.

If the seller recommended tossing the eggs for 2 weeks then do so.
