? about Silkie Coloring

Have been offered a pair of Buff Silkies who are about 1.5 years of age. My question is about their coloring; they are 'light' Buffs opposed to the deep 'reddish' colored Buffs. Is it a DQ for the Buffs to not have the deep rich reddish coloring?

The buffs with the reddish buff coloring are called ginger buffs.

I dont think it would be, but I dont know that much about buff coloring. Maybe if you can post pics people can decide if they are too light.

i agree coloring is way off. some blue smutt color is normal but he looks like he has black in him. they look like they r from a mixed color flock to me. they both look like they have white in them also the dq's i see right off is the black and white colors. here is one of my hens for compairison and a hen from last fall when she was a pullet.
