About time i said Hi

Hi all !
I have been lurking in the background for weeks now and thought its about time i said Hi , im from not so sunny IRELAND and got into chickens by accident , i took 42 xbatterys before they went for slaughter and rehomed all but 7 ,i was a bit reluctant as i realy didnt know what i was doing and didnt want to make their lives any more miserable than theyd already been ..if that was possible , i also have 2 lavender pekins , a partialy blind American bull terrier , a Pit/Staff cross who just got spayed today and looking very sorry for herself ,and lastly 4 cats ,all rescues.
I suppose i shouldnt forget my 2 grown up sons and any moment now my second grandchild ,my hobbies used to be gardening / painting and decorating, but now my time is taken up putting my coop together for the pekins so everything else has been put on back burner .
Im blown away with all the information on chickens and my favourite at the moment has to be the building a coop section ,got loads of great ideas .
I think thats it for now and look forward to some chicken chat
