Accidental chicken raiser

Hello everyone! I never planned on getting chickens, but.... about 7 weeks ago, someone dropped off a rooster across from our house. Found him in the trees on our property the next day. Started feeding him and now he won't leave. LOL. Decided that he needed some company, so about two weeks after he showed up, I picked up four chicks from the local farm store. After a rough start 10 days ago, he is now loving his new job and takes great care of the girls. Left to right: Buzz, Hicks, Fred, Spunkmeyer. And Roger the rooster. My main concern where I live is predators. Bald eagles, falcons, osprey, bear, cougar, coyote. My neighbor had two of his full grown geese taken by eagles.
