I opened my compost bin the other day to put in what was left of a watermelon that I had given my hens and it was chock full of (I think) black soldier fly grubs. It is a fifty five gallon drum that is half full of compost and it is packed with grubs. I got my shovel and put a scoop or two into the girls' treat bowl and they went nuts!

How nice to find something like that! I'm sure the chickens loved it!!! I hope when I open ours up I find some nice treats too

I used to live in near DFW and wish now looking back that I started chickens down there!
