Hi there. I've been incubating some eggs from my call ducks and as I was taking them from the incubator and placing them in the hatcher for lockdown I accidentally bumped one of the eggs against the side of the incubator. It sustained about a half inch crack and a small amount of blood started to seep out of it.
The duckling inside the egg started chirping immediately and since the slight blood flow that had occurred had stopped without any assistance from me, I placed the egg in the hatcher with the others. But what should I do now? I'm afraid that the membrane will dry out if I don't do something but don't know what to do that won't interfere with the other eggs that are in the hatcher with it. What do you think I should do and also what do you think its chances are of surviving if I do decide to do something to help it? Thanks in advance for any and all help and suggestions!
