Accidentally got a Cedar Coop

The ducks are still doing good! Doesn’t seem to be any decline in their health. I think as long as the wood itself doesn’t omit a lot of fumes then it’s fine. I know for sure that cedar shavings aren’t good though. Pine is better.

The antique cedar wardrobe in my bedroom is the only piece of furniture in my house that my cats won't sleep on. I'm getting rid of it. Clear shellac could be used but it isn't waterproof so it's useless outdoors. Some cedar is carcinogenic (Australian red cedar)
 
This article convinced me not to use cedar in my dogs bedding or to deter fleas(natural repellent) I would not expose any of my animals to it long term after reading this article.

Well I'm a dummy, the doghouse I converted to a quarantine coop is made of pine. But this is very good information! Thank you for sharing it.
