Hello, I was reading some info and I misread the dosage. I have 6 hens that all weigh around 5lbs and I gave them each .5ml orally using a baby syringe. I'm now realizing I should've given them something more like 1.5ml per hen. Would it be okay to just dose them the full 1.5ml dose tomorrow morning, or should I take another approach?

I’d just give them the add’l 1.0 ml to make the full dose
The issue is they're asleep in their coop right now so it would be a good 10 hours in between the .5ml and the additional 1.0ml. Do you think that matters?

I'm also reading some conflicting info. Some say dose once, and again in 10 days, the others say to dose for 3-5 consecutive days.
I'm not sure the type of worms they have, I just know their eggs are very poopy and some of their butts are. I'm thinking the 5 consecutive days would be best for general treatment?

edit: Just to clarify, I can't reach them all to remove them. Have to wait until they come out at sunrise.

Yes, the 5 day course of SafeGuard (fenbendazole) is good for treating most worms except tapeworms. Giving it once and in 10 days will only treat round worms. Just increase the dose. If they weigh 5 pounds you would give each one 1.25 ml, for 6 pounds 1.5 ml.

hmmm, What are your thoughts on doing 5 consecutive days, and then 5 days later giving another dose? In theory I'd be killing other worms with the 5 day treatment, and would also kill any roundworm eggs that hatched by dosing again, 10 days after the initial dose?
