I only have 2 backyard girls. They are both 1 year old. Niether has molted w/i the last year. No changes in housing, feed, care, etc. Both are acting completely normal....except Ginger has not layed since 4/23 & Myrna just layed 1 (4/29) since 4/23. They are good "regular" layers, Myrna a little more. They have never gone so long w/o laying.

Ginger had some dried poop around her rear....but not enough to block her vent. I bathed her & removed it all. I then put on some exam gloves & w/ olive oil, checked the vent. Nothing.

Other than the regular flying feathers, I'm seeing no additional loss. Having never experienced molting, I'm not sure what the 1st signs are.

I've checked the yard, top to bottom.....no hidden eggs. Also, no issues at all w/ predators getting the eggs......I'm a SAHM & interact w/ the girls numerous times a day.....often getting eggs w/i minutes of being layed.

Any ideas as to what might be going on? I'm at a loss.......

Thanks so much :)
