(that wire is for a waterer and the removable perches are outside)

After reading PatandChickens page on ventilation, I also decided to add a 14" octagon vent (covered with hardware cloth) .

Along with a screen window (I made out of the other 2nd sash I had from the recycled window I used). I am hoping I should have plenty of ventilation. ( I can also open the people door in the run if needed)

Since I am very green is there anything else I may need to consider?

Looks pretty good. I love your coop - fits so nicely into your backyard!

Only thing I can think of is a lock for that egg door. I like to use keyed luggage locks. I just hang the key next to the lock with a cup hook. Pretty raccoon proof. Some folks have good luck with carbiners but the keyed locks help me sleep at night. They say if a toddler can open it, a raccoon can too and my youngest can open the carbiners with no problem...

Your kiding.

WOW thank you.

I have to make a few more changes then. I have small hasp on the egg door and on the pop door both only have a hitch key stuck through them to olock them.

I was using those barol locks (they have a little brass bar that slides and locks) on the doors.

Guess its a trip to the hardware store (break my heart

I think your coop looks great! It is so nice that your kids are interested too! The only thing I would mention- is the metal roof. I am in the storage business and have 60,000 square feet of metal bldgs- I always put up something for a condensation barrier. We use insulation (since we are in upstate NY). It may not be a problem for you, but you might want to keep an eye on it. I have seen it "rain" in metal roof bldgs, in certain weather conditions. You may have it covered with all the great ventilation- but just a heads up. Enjoy your beautiful coop and chickens!!
