Hey all,

How would this work out considering the ages?

I've let them free range together every few days, but my hen Bokbok grabs the feathers behind their necks and gives the a good tug. I know shes probably letting them know what the pecking order is, pardon the pun, but how long does/should this go on for? I was hoping to let them all roost together at some stage next week.

The roo Foghorn doesnt seem to mind them, he'll shuffle sideways at them but not much else.

Or am I pushing it a bit too soon introducing them and should wait til they're of equal size to Bokbok?

What odd names we all seem to have for them!!

put a wire fence between them, so that they can see each other at all times for a couple of weeks, but can't get together to pick. that way they get used to seeing the others and won't be so picky when you finally put them all together. just a thought

I think 9 weeks might be a little too soon to confine them together...the size difference would still be noticable, too. I might wait until the chicks are closer to the size of the one year olds. Ususally around 18-20 weeks or so. I hope this helps!
