Hello! I have a pair of ducks, and we have a lead on adding a single female to the crew who is having a hard time with the males in another flock. We are able to quarantine her in our shed for as long as necessary, but technically it is not all that far from the coop with the other two girls. It would be a "look/hear but not touch" tyle quarantine, unless of course we bring the new duck into the house with us and quarantine her there!!
I have been reading various opinions about quarantining ducks and I am wondering if, realistically, what can be spread "airborne" across a small backyard? What diseases are we looking out for? Should we try to have a more substantial physical quarantine with the new duck?
