I'm so proud of myself. The first coop took my older brother and a friend of his two weeks to finish... I did my addition in two days (with a couple days of planning it too!)

Here it is before and after!!

And a picture of my "helper" looking at the girls in their run. The chicks are 4 weeks... the cat/unicorn is 6. She loves her chickens!!
We still have to paint the new addition, and finish our "chicken pictures" tomorrow! I can't wait to be finished and have the girls all moved in.

I'll be posting pictures of all the murals my siblings have done on it... it's pretty fantastic.

Oh, I will also be adding insulation... at least where their are holes (I don't claim to be the best at building coops... but still- I'm proud of it!)

During the winter we will be insulating with Styrofoam (my dad swears by it) and bales of hay. Also with a heat lamp!!

Just thought I should point that out.

Looks nice! I like the paint job.

However, I notice you're using chicken wire on the window to the coop and for the run. Do you realize that just about any predator looking for a chicken dinner can rip through chicken wire easily?

Welded wire, sometimes called hardware cloth, is recommended to cover windows to the coop to keep predators out. Many people use hardware cloth for their runs, too.
