So tomoro, the LFS gets in another batch of chickies, and I need to pick up a bunch more for some friends . . .

My chicks are about 2 weeks old . . .

This should be ok till ALL the chicks are ready for the coop, right?

My new brooder is 4'x8', and has 18 2 weekers in it now.
Im only getting like 10 more, mostly cornishx . . .

I try not to add chicks younger than a week to ten days to a brooder with chicks in it already. It's a size thing mostly. Cornish cross grow so fast they'll quickly catch up then pass the older chicks but I'd keep an eye on them for the first couple of days. Toe and vent picking will be your signs of trouble. More than a very little and I'd separate them.

.....Alan.
