Adding chicks under Broody hen

I have day,old chicks,i,want to,put, under one of my broody hens tonight. Any ideas on how to do that and the hen accept them as her own? Will this work?

Yes you can do this pretty easily, all you have to do is go to her at night only, don't do this during the day you'll scare her and she'll quit being broody and very slowly slide a chick under her and see what she does afterwards if she snuggles with it add another until you have all you want her to raise.

I have done this with a bantam cochin hen that faithfully sat for 25 days. I figured by that time she wasn't going to hatch anything, so I bought her some babies at the local feed store. Went in at night, slipped the chicks in and the eggs out and she accepted them just fine. How long has the hen been broody? I don't know if that makes a difference or not, just being curious.
