I am planning on expanding my coop to fit atleast 28 chickens. I am extending the pen out to the right (where the orange stakes are). Also I am closing up the open space of the coop as you can also see. So after saying this do you think I'll have enough room?

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Not sure if you have seen it, but there is a nice article in the Learning Center on figuring out how much space you need for the flock you want https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-much-room-do-chickens-need Do you know the actual measurements the new coop will be? Generally they say 4 sq/f inside the coop and 10 in the run for standard birds, more, especially in the coop if your birds will be inside a lot in the winter is better.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. X2 on the numbers that Kelsie2290 has given you, and these are the bare minimums. More is better as overcrowding can quickly lead to aggression, fighting, biting and feather plucking, and even cannibalism. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in expanding your coop.

What would the dimensions of the coop be?
