Adding new chicks to older chicks

I am very new to this, I have 8 chick with almost all their feathers, 4 BO, and 4 Ameraucanas. I just saw some gorgeous chicks in the tractor supply the other day and can't get them out of my head. They looked like week old chicks, still poofy and small, so I was wondering, if I bought a few could I add them to the small young flock that I have now? Would I need to quarantine them first, and for how long?? Then how do you introduce them to the others? Thanks in advance for all the help. Jenn

When they are that far apart in age, you need to keep them separate until the younger ones are at least 16 weeks old.
