I have a 6X8 A-frame coop that I'd like to expand. My initial thought is to remove part of one side and build a little addition there, probably a second A-frame. Is there someone who's been down this road before me who is willing to give some advice based on your experience?
Thanks!

You might consider either making it longer (this would probably be easiest) or adding a T-addition on to one side (requires some cutting and rearranging, but doable if you are handy). Or just building a bigger coop, and keeping this one for overflow

Yes, I think I'm going with a T addition to get me through this year. I went ahead and got the lumber yesterday.
All that thinking about the coop resulted in me doing some thinking about what I really want long term (a 10X10 cob coop)
So, I'm going to start that project as well.

I'll do the expansion first so I can take my time making the permanent building exactly right.
