I have 3 PR hens and a OE bantam hen. They were all purchased together & get along great! Sweet chickens! But I'm thinking of getting one more or two more. I'm thinking a EE or another PR. But I'm wondering about adding to my flock. Should I find an adolescent hen to intro or would a chick be easier? Also how old to I intro a chick into a new flock (7-8weeks?)
I would hate to intro them wrong... I just started doing research and thought I'd start here too.

I wouldn't try to add "one" of anything. I'm in the same boat, want one or two more, but I think I will try to get three point-of-lay chickens. They should be big enough to defend themselves against my grown birds, and three at a time may help keep the original girls from thinking they can bully them. And they will know they are the newbies, and have some buddies to hang with.
A single chick will get killed, you can bet on it. A single adult will get bullied; just how severely depends on the temperament of your birds, how much room they have, if there are hiding places, more than one feeder and waterer, how agressive the newbie is.
If you don't have room for three, you may have to wait a while, till you do have room. Unfortunately, chickens die off occasionally for various reasons. These are just my suggestions....I hope you have good luck.
