Adoptive hens

So I’ve got a hen hatching some eggs today. I also have a batch I’m trying to hatch in an incubator. These are due in two weeks. Would another hen adopt these chicks or could I add them to the others that this hen has now. My concern is the 2 week gap in age where these second batch would get trampled.

I have another small hen that think would adopt them, but not sure if That is a common thing for a hen to do?

Broody hens will adopt young chicks as long as they are within a couple days old of eachother. I wouldnt put one day old chicks with the 2 week old chicks.
