Adult Peacock or Peachicks?

Is it best to get adult peacocks or a few peachicks, and which one will have the best results in not wandering away?

We live on a secluded farm and wanted peas free-ranging on our property so we got mature birds first. We penned them for a few weeks and turned them loose. Of the first half dozen birds we bought, only one cock wandered off with the wild turkeys. I think whatever you want is fine. We wanted the instant gratification of the beautiful birds now but there is also a lot of enjoyment in watching them go through the natural changes of molting into mature birds.
