Hey guys,
Im wondering if someone can help me...on the 10th, we brought back some more ex battery hens to go with our other girls, also x bat, they settled in all fine, had the usual nips and they've come to an understanding now
But, maybe 2 weeks ago, one of our new girls was lame, and unable to stand, we took her to the vets, he gave her a vit b jab and an anti bio jab. Obviously these poor girls look a state, so we keep the little injured one (Gertrude) inside as she was being pecked left right and center, she can now stand up but ive noticed her legs have bent inwards, mainly the right leg.
She is still eating, drinking, producing eggs, and having watered down oral antibiotic...
So heres my questions:
1/ any idea as to whats caused this?
2/ is there anything i can do to help her?
3/ is it better for her to be PTS?
Shes perked up so much in the last week or so, i wanna give her the best chance, I no while shes in this state she cant go back in with the others, but i dont want her to suffer..
Any help would be amazing thank you!
Siobhan
